SANTA CLARA COLLEGE,
Santa Clara, California.

This Institution was founded in 1851, and in 1852 was incorporated with the privileges of a University. It occupies six large buildings, with extensive shady play-grounds, covered gymnasiums, swimming pond, etc. It possesses a most complete Philosophical Apparatus, and valuable collections of Mineralogy and Geology. It has, also, practical schools of Assaying, Surveying, Telegraphy, Photography and Commercial Business. For the latter a new building 186x40 has just been finished, that leaves nothing to be desired.

Diplomas are given in two departmentsthe Classical and Scientificand Certificates in Commercial course.

Matriculation Fee, to be paid but once...$15 00
Board, Lodging, Tuition in all branches, Washing and Mending of Linen, School Stationery, Medical Attendance and Medicine, Baths, etc., per session of ten months...350 00
