Such application must be accompanied by an admission fee of fifty dollars ($50.00). The applicant shall state his occupation, business and residence address. Any non-resident member coming to reside in or within fifty miles from the said City of Los Angeles, shall be required to pay to the Club the difference between the amount of his admission fee paid at the time of his election as such non- resident member, and the admission fee for active members at the time of his becoming a resident of the said City of Los Angeles or becoming a resident within fifty miles of said City, and upon such payment shall be elected an active member if a vacancy exists or as soon as there may be a vacancy in the membership. Due and reasonable notice shall be given to such non-resident member requiring him to pay such additional admission fee, and failing to comply there- with within a reasonable time, he shall be considered as having withdrawn from the club. APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP. SEC. 6. Applications shall be posted on the bulletin board of the Club forthwith, and after remaining there posted for a period of seven days, the same shall be reported upon by the Committee of Membership as hereinafter provided; and such application shall be acted upon by a vote of the Board of Directors; provided that two negative votes shall be suffi- cient to cause rejection thereof. The proceeding upon the question of any admission shall be held to be strictly private and confidential. SEC. 7. Upon rejection, the money advanced by the appli- cant for admission fee shall be returned to him by the Secre- tary, and a second application shall not be received from any rejected applicant within six months of the date of such rejection. SEC. 8. If such applicant be elected as aforesaid, the Secre- tary shall immediately notify him of such election in writing, and as soon as possible thereafter the applicant must sign the By-Laws. 16 ---end---
