Active members only shall be entitled to any interest in the property or assets of the Club, and upon its dissolution neither non-resident, temporary or honorary mem- bers shall be entitled to any proportion of its property and assets. Active members only are or shall be entitled to vote. ABSENTEES. SEC. 14. Members intending to be absent from the State for a period of over six months may, upon application to the Secretary, by a vote of the Directory, have their names placed on the list of absentees, during such absence his dues shall be one-half the regular rate, provided that at the time of making such application they shall not be in arrears. RESIGNATIONS. SEC. 15. Any person in good standing may terminate his membership to the Club by tendering his resignation in writ- ing, and upon its acceptance by the Board such person shall cease to be a member, and all interest in the property and assets thereof shall be deemed to have been abandonded and assigned to the Club. EXPELLED OR SUSPENDED MEMBERS. SEC. 16. Any member of this Corporation may be sus- pended or expelled as herinafter provided. LIABILITY OF NEW MEMBERS. SEC. 17. Newly elected members shall become liable to the creditors of the Club for their respective proportions of all its then existing indebtedness and liabilties in like manner and to the same extent as if they had been members at the time when such indebtedness and libilities were incurred. NO COMPENSATION TO MEMBERS. SEC. 18. No member shall, under any pretext whatever, receive any salary or compensation from the funds of the Club. 18 ---end---
