*** Source: Jonathan Club, Los Angeles, 1909. *** ---page 31--- IX No member of the Club shall be permitted to send any employe out of the Club Quarters for any purpose, or to call upon him for any service that takes him away from his duties at the Club Quarters. Upon application at the office a messenger will be summoned. X Pipe smoking will be allowed in the Moorish room only. XI No refreshments shall be served in the corridors or for- ward of the Moorish room. XII No dogs shall be allowed in the Club Quarters. XIII No bills or cards shall be paid through any servant of the Club. Members or guests desiring to settle their accounts before leaving the Club may do so throught the cashier in the office. XIV Visitors are requested to show their cards on entering the Club. XV It is the duty of every member to register each guest in- troduced by him, whether a resident of the city, or a non- resident. A register is provided in the office for this pur- pose and members should not take exception, should their attention be called to this rule. XVI Gentlemen holding visitor's cards can entertain in the Club only members and persons holding visitor's cards. 31 ---end---
