Salt Lake Route, 1901-02; asst. engineer on location and construction engineering dept. Pacific Electric Ry. 1902-05; asst. engineer on Little Bear Valley dam; hydrographic investiga- tions for city of Los Angeles and for Long Beach harbor; location of elec- tric transmission lines in Kern county, etc., 1905-07; engaged in private engineering practice, as member of firm of Dessery & West 1908 to date. During this time has designed munici- pal buildings, installed irrigation and water systems, and acted as road ex- pert and special engineer for many municipal and private corporations. Served as city engineer of Covina; chief engineer of the Rindge Co.; hy- draulic engineer of American Beet Sugar Co., and Patterson Ranch Co.; and harbor engineer of Consolidated Lumber Co. at Los Angeles Harbor.
