A. and Ordelia (Gleason) Hart. Married to Ida M. Belden in 1894. Educated in grammar and high schools of Ohio. On death of father in 1892, Hotel Natick, as busi- ness property, was left to Geo. A. and Dwight H. Hart, who have conducted it to date; acquired Hotel Rosslyn and the Lexington by purchase; has since conducted these two hotels as one business; first opened up Central Beach at Ocean Park and substituted the sale instead of lease system pre- vailing there; heavy interests in other properties of county and state. Pres. Terra Bella Development Co., and Richgrove Land Co., comprising ter- ritory of 20,000 acres, including two townsites of Terra Bella and Richgrove. Pres. First National Bank, Terra Bella, Cal. Educated in the public schools of Milton, N. H.; lived on a farm until sixteen years of age. Started in the manufacture of lumber in the town of Wakefield, N. H., 1877, with one mill; in three years was operating three mills throughout the State of New Hampshire; sold his business in New Hampshire and moved to Tacoma, Wash., 1889, and engaged in the same business; sold out in Tacoma and moved to Oakland, Cal., 1894 and remained until 1901; moved to Texas, 1900, where he purchased the first piece of land after the oil strike in Beaumont, and remained five years; moved to Los Angeles in 1905 and has been engaged in the real es- tate business to date.
