ranch in 1909 and moved to Pasadena.

retail shoe business for six years;
moved to Los Angeles in 1898 and
engaged in shoe business with A. J.
Hamilton, under firm name of Hamilton
& Baker; partnership dissolved
in 1903, and he has continued busi-
ness alone to date.
