Moved to Cal. in 1901 and was engaged in ranching until 1907; clerk of township court, Los Angeles, 1907-09; deputy city atty., assigned as asst. prosecuting atty., 1909, and held this office until elected justice of the peace of Los Angeles township, 1911, which office he holds at present. After completing his education studied his profession in his father's office, a fellow of Royal Inst. of British Architects, and at the Architectural Association, London, England. Moved to U. S., 1891, and began practice in New York City; designed many important buildings in that city, among them being the Schuyler Arms Hotel. Moved to Los Angeles, Cal., in 1896 and began practice as architect of International Bank Bldg.; designed Pomona City Hall, and is now at work on several structures for the So. Cal. Edison Co. Riedeman and Paul Meyer, operating under firm name of Riedeman, Meyer & Co.; bought out J. W. Riedeman in Feb., 1905, firm name being changed to Riedeman & Meyer; bought out Paul Meyer in 1911 and has conducted business ever since under his own name.
