Sandoval & Co., in 1888 and opened a banking house at Nagales, Sonora; still interested and holds offices in the firm; obtained grants from Mexico for exclusive fishing right on the west coast of Mexico which includes various valu- able fishing grounds; these grants place him practically in control of supply of fish from the Mexican coast for Los Angeles markets.
