Leavenworth, Kan.; was with Generals Hancock and Custer in the Indian campaign against the Kiowas, Arrapahoes and Cheyennes in Kansas; at close of campaign was stationed at Ft. Lyon, Colo.; during this time was associated with Kit Carson; opened drug business at Taos, N. M., practic- ing medicine at the same time, 1867; moved to St. Paul, Minn., in 1869 and practiced there until he moved to Pasadena in 1905, since which time he has lived practically in retirement.
