Item III bequeaths to wife Ellen that amount of estate
established by law of the statute of California as
her right.
Item IV Residue of estate to be bequeathed to
Bryant Howard, cashier of the Bank of San Diego, to set
Up a trust for three (3) of the children, Laura,
Abraham and Mary Cullen Johnson - Bryant Howard appointed
Trustee and Guardian of the children's estate - In the
event of his death or refusal to act, the testator
nominates Hon. F. C. Pratt of the City of San Francisco. In
the event of his death or refusal to act of latter, he
appoints Hon. Samuel Cowles of San Francisco.
