Father Valentini at Sausalito in the Catholic Church.The bride is the only child of William C. Morris, a trusted employee of the Northwestern Pacific Railroad and an old and highly respected citizen of this community.She is also a granddaughter of Mrs. S.C. Bowers.The groom is the son of Mrs. S.J. Knox and a brother of Mrs. Floyd Laverty of Millwood.After a brief honeymoon they will reside in Sacramento.

Hinz, to Lieutenant Bruce Bradford BUTLER, U.S.A., was announced at a tea given on Sunday in the Mill Valley home of the bride-elect.Miss Hinz is one of the beauties of Marin County.The groom-to-be belongs to the Thirtieth Infantry and is stationed at Fort Mason.He is the son of Colonel Butler, U.S.A., whose military station is Fort Sam Houston, TX.His mother, Mrs. Butler, is a guest of Mrs. Hinz, having arrived in time for the announcement of the young couple’s engagement.Their wedding will probably take place in the spring.------------ Examiner

On Saturday evening, Oct. 22nd, two of San Rafael’s popular young people were united for life’s journey – Miss Pauline MURRAY and Major Newell VANDERBILT.The wedding took place at the home of the bride’s mother on First Street, and Rev. Lynn T. White of the Presbyterian Church officiating.Miss Emily Taylor was bridesmaid, and George Murray, brother of the bride, was best man.The bride was given away by her younger brother, Will P. Murray.Miss Murray is the daughter of Mrs. Adam Murray, one of the old and highly esteemed families of Marin County.Major Vanderbilt is a son of the late William Vanderbilt who was long the assessor of this county.He is instructor of science and commandant of cadets at Mt. Tamalpais Military Academy, graduated from the State University with the title of Colonel.For several years he was captain of the local military company, Co. D, and is one of the best posted men in military tactics.

Young Army Man Weds Miss McCANN

Lieutenant Jose BROWN, U.S.A., son of Col. Brown of the Tamalpais Military Academy, and Miss Kate McCANN, were married at the home of Mr. and Mrs. D.A. Helbing last Thursday afternoon.Rev. Lynn Townsend White of the Presbyterian Church officiating.The groom is attached to a regiment now doing service in the Philippines and he expects to sail for the islands with his bride in the early part of January.

Charles REDDING Joins Benedicts

Cupid has captured another San Rafael bachelor.Charles REDDING of the firm Wilkins & Redding, went to Watsonville on Monday where he was married to Miss Nellie MARTIN, daughter of a prominent fruit grower.Mr. Redding is a native son, well known and highly respected, and for several years was an official at San Quentin prison.The young couple will reside in San Rafael, Mr. Redding having recently received the appointment of Under-sheriff by Sheriff-elect Keating.
