County Surveyor Richardson Married
The many friends of County Surveyor RICHARDSON were quite surprised
to learn of his marriage last Wednesday. Though the engagement had been
announced the wedding was not expected so soon.
The wedding took place in St. Lukes church, San Francisco, Rev. Dr. Bradley performing the ceremony. The bride was Miss Virginia RICHMOND, well known here.
An unusual feature of the wedding was that the brides twin sister was the bridesmaid. The best man was Arthur Lee, a friend of the groom. The happy couple have gone to the southern part of the state for a short honeymoon and on return will make their home at Sausalito until the bride completes her course in the San Francisco Normal School. Congratulations are extended to the happy couple.

Miss Spaulding Is Soldier Bride
Springing a surprise on their scores of friends, Nicholas WHITMORE, a well known San Rafael boy, and Miss Lillian SPAULDING, one of San Anselmos most popular young women, were married this afternoon at the home of the charming brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dornberger of San Anselmo.
The young couple left immediately for a few days stay at Monte Rio. Their honeymoon, however, is necessarily a short one, owing to the fact that the groom is scheduled to leave next Monday with the Marin county contingent of 68 soldier boys for Camp Kearny.
The bride is well known here and in San Anselmo. For some time she has filled the position of bookkeeper at the San Anselmo branch of the Grosjean store, which is under the management of her father.
The groom has been associated here for years with the different automobile garages, and lately has been employed in Belvedere.

Fish and Life Lines Entangle Roy Shaver
From the south comes a story of a romance dealing with fish lines which
became inextricably entangled.
At one end of the fish lines was a fish. At the other were two people, a man and a woman, strangers, until then, but who on October 21st were pronounced man and wife by Chief Justice F. M. Angellotti.
The groom is Roy F. B. SHAVER, of San Rafael, and the bride is Miss Harriet DAVENPORT, of Davenport, Iowa, whose ancestors founded that city.
Members of separate fishing parties six months ago, Shaver and Miss Davenport hooked a huge yellowtail fish off Catalina Island. In the confusion that followed the boats were drawn together, introductions ensued, and closer acquaintance.
Glenn Shaver, a brother of the groom and well known here, was the best man at t he wedding which took place at the Los Angeles home of t he bride.
