John started as a Mail Carrier with the heavy bag over the shoulder and
moved on up to Clerk, Supervisor, Postmaster. His rewards: good service,

a perceptive and stimulating man. His tape is replete with humor, some

Mrs. Harrison (Kitty) Dibblee who (1930-1935) was Miss Branson's secretary.

banking experience, purchase of the six ranches in Marin; describes ranch
life; i.e., chores, duties, etc. Relates the break-up of the Ranches (approx.
6,000 total acres) to sub-dividers (Terra Linda - for example), and describes
