Exercises closing the thirty-fifth year of work at the Mount Tamalpais Military Academy were held last Saturday morning in the First Presbyterian church at 11 o’clock. Dr. _?_ D. Bird, president of Occidental College, delivered the commencement address.

Nine cadets made up the roll of the class of 1925, four of whom completed their work last December. They are George Alexander Innes and Carl  Schieck, of San Rafael; Kenneth M. Hall, Oakland; Allan Kenward, Berkeley; Chester B. Nash, Eureka; Keith R. Miller, Quincy; Antonio Estrella, Manila; and Benjamin Gonzales and Fred Hill, both from San Salvador. Five of these elect college work at Berkeley, Stanford and Louisiana.

Miss Phoebe Mackenzie was the organ accompanist; Mrs. D. H. Harger, soprano soloist; Captain E. H. McCollister directed the Cadet orchestra. Rev. Ernest R. Bradley offered an eloquent and earnest prayer, and Rev. Herbert Thompson a fitting benediction at the close of the exercises. The Cadet Corps rendered three of  its favorite songs, -- opening with the old favorite “Onward Christian Soldiers”, later their “Tamalpais, Alma Mater”, and finally all present joining in “America”.

After announcement of numerous prizes, awards and scholarship, the diplomas were presented by the Headmaster, Major Newell F. Vanderbilt, the last commencement exercises of this well known school, which was established thirty-five years ago, were over.
