For the first time in its history the Novato school held public commencement
exercises. The exercises were held at Loustaunau’s hall Friday evening.
The children gave the large audience a splendid program – songs, recitations
and two fine little plays, all well done and a credit to the children and
their teachers. At the conclusion of the entertainment the class of twelve
graduates received their diplomas from Supt. Davidson who made an interesting
address. Following this the children held an informal dance. Those of the
graduating class were Quincy Benning, Edna Butler, Lela Butler, Eleanor
Carlile, Isabel Clark, Henry Frates, Mercedes Hall, Leslie Knutte, Elezio
Regalia, Edward Regalli, Helen Trumbull, Hansten Warner. Silvia Pifferio,
of Burdell’s school also received his diploma.
