Fourteen students were graduated from the San Rafael Military Academy last Sunday, when an impressive ceremony was held on the school campus. The baccalaureate sermon was delivered by Rev. John Jefferson Canoles, while Maj. H. A. Schwarz, representing the commander of the Ninth Corps Area, stationed at the Presidio, presented nine members of the graduating class with commissions awarded by the school. Friends and parents attended the military review held during the afternoon. Graduates who received commissions included Robert Dollar, San Rafael; Stanley Elliott, Modesto; Frank Cooley, Kentfield; Ralph Hanan,  Berkeley; William Schendell, San Francisco; Shirley Balank, Fresno; Elmer Samman, Shanghai; Alexander Bellis, Manila, and Kenneth Cohn, San Francisco.
