Since 1925, the California Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) has been collecting records of DAR pioneers in California. These records have been compiled into 27 volumes under the title of "Records of the Families of the California Pioneers, Vol. 1 to 27." The 55-page index to this compilation contains 2,900 names listed in alphabetical order. The index gives the full name of the California pioneer, the volume number, and page number. Volumes 1 to 27 can be found at the State Library in Sacramento. Volumes 1 to 19 are available at the Sutro Library in San Francisco.
