Co. building, Fourth and Townsend streets, for the convenience of subscribers having business with the So. Pac. Co. The So. Pac. Co. Officers can not and will not leave their offices to hold conversation in the telephone office, but our operator will write out subscribers' inquiries, present them to the departments from which information is sought and report the answer by telephone, except FREIGHT AND PASSENGER RATES, Which the S. P. Co. declines to allow to be reported orally by telephone; such inquiries the S. P. Co. will reply to by mail or by telegraph over their own wires. CHARGES. For Telephone inquiry in S. P. building or depot, and telephone answer thereto..15 cts. CONDITIONS This Company and the So. Pac. Co., while exercising reasonable care to avoid errors, positively refuse to assume any responsibility for errors which may occur in receiving or transmitting any communications by telephone.
