Ship Elizabeth Moved
MOVED.—It will be recollected that the ship Elizabeth has been,
for a long time, used as a store ship between Pacific street and Broadway,
near Battery, where she has been deeply imbedded in mud. The herculean
task of removing her into deep water has been undertaken and is likely
to succeed. [She] has already been dragged from her position through the
mud to Front street, and we understand that the piles, &c, are to be
removed early this week to let her through the harbor.
