San Francisco, July 16, 1906

To the Pupils of the Girls High School:

The Girls High School will reopen on July 23, at 1 P. M. in the
Lowell High School building on Sutter Street, between Octavia and
Gough Streets. The Lowell High will have the use of the building
from 8:30 A. M. to 12 M. and the Girls High with its faculty will have
it from 1 P. M. to 4:30 P. M. This arrangement will provide for four
recitation periods of the usual length and will enable every pupil
to continue the full course for which she had originally planned.
All pupils in attendance during the past term will be promoted to
the next class. The work will be taken up where it was dropped on
April 6, and, by the end of the coming term, as much essential subject
matter will have been covered as would have been accomplished if
there had been no disaster. In other words, all pupils will be given the
opportunity to graduate at the time when they otherwise would have
graduated.

It is hoped that all members of the school who possibly can do so
will return, not only for their individual benefit, but also in order
that they may help by their enthusiasm and loyalty to maintain
the integrity and high standard of the school.

Yours sincerely,
ARTHUR W. SCOTT
