"DONNELLY--The San Francisco ‘Star’ gives the following account of the marriage of a young lady well and favorably known in Salinas: Last week Capt. A.B. DONNELLY was married to Miss Julia A. HARRIS, of Salinas. The captain is a well-known and much respected citizen -- one of the heroes of the late war. The bride is the beautiful niece of Dr. HARRIS of San Jose and daughter of Captain T.G. HARRIS of Salinas. The happy couple spent their honeymoon at Del Monte, and on their return were given a hearty greeting by their friends. On Monday night they were serenaded by one of the camps of the Grand Army. Only the immediate friends of both parties being present. Miss de la MONTANYA is a daughter of the late James de la MONTANYA. She has been abroad for the last 6 years. She was educated at Clarke’s Academy, and subsequently went to New York, where she attended Reed’s School. "DRISCOLL--DEATH OF MR. DRISCOLL - Mr. Richard DRISCOLL, well known to the residents of this place as the contractor who built several brick buildings here last summer, died Monday last, in San Francisco, after an illness of about two months. He was much respected by all who made his acquaintance. We regret to state, that it is believed Mr. D.'s sickness and other misfortunes, had so reduced his means as to leave his family, at the time of his death, in very destitute circumstances." "DUCKWORTH/MANUEL--From last Saturday's Monterey 'Cypress' -- On Thanksgiving day at 11a.m., Hon. S.J. DUCKWORTH and Mrs. Flora MANUEL of this city were joined in the holy bonds of matrimony in St. Mary's Cathedral, San Francisco, Rev. Father LOGAN officiating. The bridesmaid was Mrs. Anna M. WOHLER, of San Francisco, and Judge N.A. DORN, of Salinas, was the best man. The ceremony was witnessed by a few friends and relatives of the contracting parties. The wedding breakfast was served at the residence of Mrs. J.B.H. COOPER. At its close the happy couple took their departure for Sacramento where the groom will represent Monterey County during the coming session of the Legislature. The wedding presents were many and costly. Those present were: N.A. DORN, Mr. & Mrs. E.J. MOLERA, Mr. & Mrs. Frank BELL, Mr. & Mrs. R.R. DUCKWORTH, Mrs. Roseta MILLER, Mrs. C.A. McKINLAY; Mrs. Anna M. WOHLER, Mr. & Mrs. J.B.H. COOPER, Miss Rose MILLER, Miss G. HARTNELL, Dr. James L. ORD and L. FRISBIE. "DUTTON/DUTTON--Mrs. DUTTON Wants a Divorce--Suit for divorce was filed yesterday in the San Francisco Superior Court by Mrs. John DUTTON, the ground being technical desertion. For two years, Mrs. DUTTON says, her husband has remained at DUTTONs Landing, on the Sacramento River, refusing to live with her. Sometimes he would visit her place of residence in San Francisco, but only to see their two boys.
