HEYDENFELDT was arrested last night on complaint of his first wife, who resides in this city [Sacramento] with her mother at 1424 K Street. She is the sister of Mrs. C. V. TALMAGE, whose marriage to and divorce from the wealthy and aged rancher of Trask Landing created quite a stir a few years ago. HEYDENFELDT married her at San Rafael September 1, 1901, and claims she was divorced from him in San Francisco in 1904, but it appears there is no record of the decree. SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 2. -- Lucy HITE, the Indian woman of Mariposa county, has one her suit brought to establish her right as the lawful wife of John R. HITE, the millionaire minor and stock raiser. A dispatch received by ex-Judge Van R. PATERSON to-day conveyed the intelligence that Judge JONES has rendered a decision in her favor, holding that she was the lawful wife of HITE from 1871 to 1886; that she is entitled to a divorce, division of the community property and alimony, with $4000 as attorney fees."
