"PLAGEMAN/PLAGEMAN--The social event of the season in this section was the Silver wedding of Mr./Mrs. PLAGEMAN. Mr. PLAGEMAN is a wholesale cigar dealer of San Francisco, who has brought his family into the country to spend a few weeks away from the busy scenes of the metropolis. By the kindness of Mr. LUTTINGER, the genial proprietor of the Plantation House, the spacious hall, decorated by San Francisco florists, was accorded them for the occasion. Some time before 9 o'clock, the hour appointed for the ceremony, the guests began to assemble. As Caesare BRANDT''s orchestra, of San Francisco, played Mendelssohn's wedding march, Mr./Mrs. PLAGEMAN were escorted to the alter where they were remarried by Judge J.S. BROOKS, of Timber Cove. After receiving the congratulations from their children and guests, a social hop was indulged in until a late hour. A sumptuous repast was prepared and champagne flowed freely. Mr./Mrs. PLAGEMAN were the recipients of numerous letters and telegrams of congratulation and many valuable presents from their friends in San Francisco and Germany. Among the presents they prize the most highly, being a silver wreath, presented by their eight children, all of whom were present. At the conclusion, Mr. PLAGEMAN made a very appropriate speech, for which he was heartily appaulded. Mr. PLAGEMAN and family will soon return to their home carrying with them the good wishes of all. Following is a list of those present: Mr./Mrs. PLAGEMAN, Mr./Mrs. J.S. BROOKS, Mr./Mrs. VON ARX, Mr./Mrs. NIEBOUR, Mr./Mrs. DURAND, Mr./Mrs. McKENNY, Mr./Mrs. LUTTINGER, Mr./Mrs. BEHLOW, and Mrs. BROWN.
