Were Quietly Wedded at St. Vincent’s - From Petaluma Argus


On Friday afternoon at St. Vincent’s Church, a quiet wedding took place when Rev. Father Dollard united in marriage Miss Marie MAGGINNI, of Chileno Valley, and David BLAZARI, of Nicasio.The couple were attended by Mr. and Mrs. P. Pallascio.The couple will reside in Nicasio where the groom owns a ranch.

Edward WATSON Takes a Bride Edward WATSON and Miss Bertha HAMMERICH of this city were married at the home of the groom’s parents in this city last Sunday afternoon.The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Walsh. The fortunate man had Lieut. Robert Johnson as best man, and the bride was attended by Miss C. Hansen.The groom is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. James Watson, pioneer residents of this city.Upon their return from their honeymoon, they will take up their home on I Street.

Miss Elsie SMITH Becomes Mrs. FOSTER


A pretty romance that originated in the wilds of Mendocino County culminated Wednesday evening at San Rafael, when Wallace FOSTER married Miss Elsie SMITH.The ceremony was performed by Rev. Dr. Reilly in the presence of a few relatives and friends.Miss Smith is the beautiful daughter of Mrs. George Smith of San Francisco.She has a pleasing personality and is highly accomplished.The groom is the son of the late John D. Foster of Alameda, and is a prominent clubman and University of California graduate.At present he is manager of the Bay Counties Electric Company’s branch in San Rafael.

From Petaluma Argus The wedding of Miss Tessie CARVEY and George FOUCRAULT took place Tuesday in San Rafael and was a quiet affair.The ceremony was performed at the Catholic Church, Rev. Father Walsh officiating.Miss Mattie Carvey, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, and Louis Fairbanks, cousin of the groom, was best man.The couple will reside in San Francisco, where the groom has a cozy cottage awaiting the bride.The bride is the youngest daughter of Mrs. Annie Carvey of Bloomfield and sister of Mrs. James Carroll, Miss Mattie, John and Dennis Carvey.She is one of Bloomfield’s fair and popular daughters.She was reared and educated in Bloomfield, and has many friends to wish her happiness.Mr. Foucrault, like his charming bride, is very popular in Tomales, where he resided a number of years with his parents.He is the second eldest son of Mrs. Foucrault, and a brother of Louis Foucrault of Petaluma.

MARTIN took place Wednesday morning at St. Joseph’s Church in Alameda, and was a very quiet affair, being witnessed only by the immediate relatives of the couple.The couple will reside at Chileno Valley.The bride is well known in Petaluma, where she has frequently visited.She is the sister of the late Mrs. A.J. Martin.Mr. Martin is one of this city’s wealthy residents, and is exceedingly popular throughout Sonoma and Marin Counties.He is a son of the late Charles Martin of Chileno Valley, who was one of the wealthiest pioneers in this vicinity.

In the cathedral at Cevio, Switzerland, on October 10^th, Miss Linda MARTIN of this city, became the happy bride of Fiorenzo MORETTI, formerly of this city and now of San Diego, CA.The wedding was of a quiet nature and was witnessed only by the near relatives and friends of the young people.A recent bereavement in the family of the bride was the reason for the quiet ceremony.Mr. and Mrs. MORETTI are expected home from Europe in about two months and will make their home in California.A.J. MARTIN, a brother of the bride, was wedded in Alameda on Wednesday of this week to Miss Katherine KIRK.Mrs. MORETTI is a sister of Charles, Arnold, and Leopold Martin, Mrs. P. Dolcini, Mrs. Ben Pattochi of Petaluma, and the Mrs. Professor Mattei of Switzerland.Mrs. Mattei and Leopold Martin were present at the wedding of their sister.Mr. Moretti formerly resided here and moved to Santa Cruz, later going to San Diego to conduct one of the big ranches owned by the Martin Company, of which his bride is a stockholder.They have hosts of friends throughout the State who will give them a royal welcome home.

Tomales Merchant Takes a Bride A wedding of more than local interest occurred at Tomales on Thanksgiving Day when Miss Lizzie McCUNE, the accomplished daughter of Mrs. A. McCune, became the bride of W.H. CORNETT, of the firm of Cornett Bros. & Co., Tomales.The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Looney, at the home of the bride’s mother, near Fallon.They will reside in Fallon upon their return from their honeymoon.

Miss Christine CORTI Becomes a Bride Miss Christine F. CORTI and Eugene Le Roy ANDREWS were united in marriage at the Congregational Church in this city last Saturday by the Rev. W.H. Atkinson.The happy couple will make their future home in Oakland.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Corti.Her father is the well known proprietor of the local stone and marble works.

Katherine POWERS Becomes a Bride Cupid captured one of San Rafael’s popular young ladies on Wednesday.At 3 o’clock p.m., Miss Katherine POWERS, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. George H. Powers, became the bride of Edward Russell CHAPMAN.The marriage was performed at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church by Bishop Nichols and Rev. Ernest Bradley.The bride’s sister, Ruth Powers, was maid of honor.The four bridesmaids were Miss Mary Foster, Grace Dollar, Maybelle Foy and Ida Wilhelm.Allan Powers was best man, and Wilberforce Williams, Dr. Donald Smith, Spencer Bishop, and W.J. ----rd were the ushers.Dr. Powers gave the bride away.The couple left immediately for Detroit, their future home.
Miss LICHTENBURG Weds Next Week The Elsa A. LICHTENBERG-H.D. JOHNSON, Jr. wedding promises to be one of the social events of the season in this city.It will take place at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 3 o’clock next Wednesday afternoon, and will be followed by a small reception at the Lichtenberg home.The maid of honor will be Miss Lichtenberg, and the best man will be R.G. Feliz on Hinman Street when their youngest daughter, Antonia FELIZ, became the bride of Walter WINKLER of Graton, Sonoma Co.The ceremony was performed at 12:30 p.m., Rev. Father Dollard officiating.The charming bride is the daughter of a pioneer family of this city and sister of Mrs. Howe, Cassie, Toodie, Charles, and Sisto Feliz, of Santa Rosa.The groom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Winkler of Graton.He is a brother of County Surveyor George Winkler.Miss Feliz was recently an employee of the Journal.Mrs. Williams, sister of the groom, played the wedding march.Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. A.
